My guess is that he is talking about the deep down issues that hold down Michigan football that are hard to see or accept.
1. Harbaugh- they hate each other in for various reasons I think he believes Harbaugh is the wrong coach
2. Recruiting- He said on multiple occasions that we do not have the players to compete at an elite level and that we are losing big recruits on the recruiting trail. He is correct. obviously this does not explain losing to lesser talent
3. Attitude/team commitment- seeing this play out now
4. University commitment to success- this has been an ongoing issue and I would argue that our administration commitment to success is not on par with the other top 10 schools in the country. Best example is Notre Dame which by all accounts does not cheat but prioritizes winning by any means necessary within the rules. That is what we need. Only 5, 11 wins seasons in our history is indicative of a much larger problem than our current coach. Franklin has 3 in the last 6 years, Ohio state 5 in probably the last 5 years, and we have 5 total. Embarrassing really.
