First, I wanted to say how awesome you all are. I truly mean that. The well wishes and prayers have helped me a ton and It makes me fell great that so many of your are praying for my Sunshine.
For those of you who have shared stories of your own or your kids....thank you! You have no idea how much that has helped. It makes us feel not as alone.
I have really mixed emotions about this but she is being discharged tomorrow. One part of me is super happy and the other part of me is terrified. Both my ex and I work full time jobs, but are lucky enough to be able to take time off to be with her each day. We have a bunch of family support as well and some great friends that know what's going and have offered help.
Since we just found out about her being discharged tomorrow we are trying to get her in to see her therapist immediately and to set up an appointment with a psychiatrist. We are following all of Motts Hospital's recommendations, with safety plans, therapy, coping skills and well as much better communication skills. Man life just completely changed.
At the end of the day I grateful. My daughter is alive with a pretty good attitude although she is nervous coming back home where this all started last Thursday. I understand that.
