Word has it Eric Dickerson & Craig James are OUT for this game, so expecting Michigan's front 7 to take control of this game.
I'm sure it will be a run first attitude but I'd really like to see Michigan chuck it all over the field. Pass to set up run maybe. Use some safe but precise routes where they can exploit advantages they may have vs. the SMU secondary.
I realize it may not mean much but you see O$U running all kind of quick slants & "safe" routes along with a few long balls with Haskins making proper reads & throwing the ball on time against the lesser opponents. That's what I'd like to see from Patterson & company. Build confidence & get these receivers feeling good about themselves. Get the receivers more than 1 or 2 targets each.
Interesting statistics, through 2 games the Mustangs have allowed a Punt return for TD, a Kickoff return for TD, a Pick-6 score and 2 fumble returns for touchdowns. Wouldn't mind seeing this unconventional scoring trend to continue Saturday.
