One thing we love about college football is that highly emotional college kids do surprising things. Good and bad. The pro's cannot match the level of emotion you see in college football. We have seen some Michigan teams that had emotional energy off the charts and played great games. (Lots of ND games)
Emotional Energy: College Players > NFL Players
The other side of the coin the level of emotional resilience of college kids can be fragile. Who can handle adversity and be cool and execute under pressure of time and situation. We have seen some kids SHINE in that moment (Brady, Hart, Denard, Woodson, Manningham, Winovich. more.) We have seen some college kids struggle in the big moment. (No names)
Emotional Resilience: College Players < NFL Players
In My Opinion for this game:
Emotional Energy: Advantage Michigan
OSU gets help from a home field, this game means more to Michigan, more to play for. I would love to hear the pregame speech from Harbaugh and Don Brown.
Emotional Resilience: ???
This Michigan team has been under pressure twice this season, both road games: Notre Dame and Northwestern. In one case they did not rise above it (ND) and in another case (Northwestern) they rise above the pressure. How does OSU respond to adversity? Are BOTH teams fragile?
Question: What do you think?
