-Charles Woodson running the Michigan flag around the field before the game was very cool.

-Cade McNamara 93 yard TD pass on the crossing route to Andrel Anthony was a thing of beauty. Perfect pass that hits the receiver on the move, Anthony pulling away from the DB’s on the way to the end zone. A star is born, especially considering 6/155/2TD’s
-We all know it, but the Blake Corum drop on UM’s second possession was huge. 14-0 after two possessions would have been nice (huge).

-Great field position after the Mike Morris INT. The Anthony hold after the Cornelius Johnson reverse, that would’ve had UM 1st & goal from the 5, was a ticky-tack call. Johnson also a questionable route run on a third down catch that was short of the sticks. 10-0

-MSU goes to a hurry up offense on its last possession of the first quarter. First play of the second quarter, Kenneth Walker goes 27 yards for the TD. UM has him surrounded for a one yard gain, but KW bounces outside for the TD. Yards after contact. First of six or seven video reviews that go MSU’s way, as the ball was moving, just as KW gets to goal line. Didn’t think there was irrefutable evidence. 10-7

-MSU first full possession in second quarter results in 4th & 1 for 40 yds and then more confusion on defense as KW goes in for his second TD. 14-13 bad guys.
-Those 3 am freshman workouts pay dividends. J.J. McCarthy to Anthony for a 17 yard TD. Good throw and good catch. The future is bright for these two. 3/125/2 TDs at this point for Anthony. 20-14

-Ojobo strip/Hutchinson TD review. “Not seeing the look of clear and obvious” - Joel Klatt

“This is one that is so close, what did they rule on the field? Based on the fact that that they ruled fumble on the field, Joel, I don’t think they can change this.” - Mike Pereira

-UM last possession of the half. McNamara not great, but good getting UM in position for the FG at the end of the half. CM hits some nice throws to get UM down there, but throws in the end zone. Could have been better throws to Anthony & Johnson. 23-14 half. Pretty good but game should be 27-14 UM at the break.

HALFTIME

-McCarthy running and throwing well on UM’s 2nd drive of the 3rd. McNamara with a laser beam to Mike Sainristil for the score. 16 point lead. 6:47 left in the 3rd.

-DJ Turner called for the PI but replay shows little to nothing. Klatt said it was a good call? WTF. Three video replays go MSU’s way. Sideline grab, a catch off the grass and a short TD run. MSU 28 yards on a 4th n 4 and gets two point conversion. MSU down 8 and 6-0 on reviews.
-McNamara takes a pop from an unblocked DB on the first play of 4th quarter on a 3-n-9.
-MSU converts three 3rd downs in a row, including a 58 yard TD (back breaker) by Walker. MSU with another two point convo. 30-30.

-McCarthy in and he fumbles out of bounds. McNamara misses AJ Henning. Michigan had to have a TD. Settles for a FG. 33-30.

-Oh man, after getting a three & out, McCarthy and Corum fumble. Disaster.

-Wildcat Walker, UM another illegal sub penalty and another TD run by Walker. Ridiculous running. 37-33

-UM going for it on 4th n 4 from their own 32 with 4:15 to play and all three timeouts left. Crazy. UM defense gassed.

Anthony out of bounds by inches. McNamara missed Sainristil on third down.

Johnson interfered with on 4th down.
“It looked like Michigan State may have gotten away with one” - Gus Johnson
-UM last gasp, 1:15 to play. MSU called for questionable late hit.

1st down UM with 1:09 left from UM 48, McNamara throws pick.
Ballgame.
