When I say "not contributing", I don't necessarily mean that as a knock. They could have been waiting behind older starters, or it could also mean that they weren't living up to fan-imposed expectations (fair or not).
Off the top of your head, who have been some surprise breakouts that you didn't see coming after it initially appeared that they wouldn't be much of a contributor at Michigan?
The reason I ask this is because I see people get slammed on here for "giving up" on players too early. I'm not debating the legitimacy of such an argument, but I'm also curious to see the counterargument to this.
