I know it is unpopular to focus on the positives, but am I crazy in thinking that Green had a pretty solid game yesterday? He broke up several passes, was tight on coverage, and helped in support. He wasn't perfect, but much improved from what we had previously seen I think. Gray didn't seem to get picked on but he wasn't really challenged either.
The other place I saw some progress was on the defensive line. Hinton seemed more disruptive in the middle and I noticed several strong rushes from Upshaw, including the sack he had. It wasn't dominant, but it was more pressure than we've seen all season, and that was with Kwity at probably 70%. They also did a nice job holding the line of scrimmage (when they were lined up properly) - we just needed better linebackers to clean it up for them.
Feel free to tell me I'm wrong on either point. And yes, all caveats that this PSU team is nowhere close to elite.
