Two pet peeves from watching a lot of college

Bball lately.
1. Shot clock running down and the point guard is doing a lot of dribbling and then steps back for a 3 pointer. College kids have gotten pretty good at that shot. I dont get why teams don't force the guy into a drive and make a play.

2. Similar to point 1, guys let too many guys drive the ball with their strong hand. I get when there is a ball screen, it is hard to stop but I am seeing alot of straight line drives. Similar to point 1, make the guy drive with their weak hand and make a play
