I've watched several quarters of MSU football this year - not a lot. I don't claim any special football knowledge, but I've noticed two things that have the potential to impact the game. Since I haven't watched all of their games and these are not things easily pulled from stat lines I admit that I don't know if they are representative of the whole season-
1. Lewerke's throws have a low trajectory that sometimes gets knocked down by rushing linemen. With our team speed, turning a deflection or two into an interception seems like a real possibility.
2. Their kickoffs rarely reach the goal line. With the right kick returner, the potential is there for significant return yardage. Of course they have to score to kick off, so maybe it probably won't happen much.
Like I said, I'm not an expert and these aren't predictions - just a couple of things I've noticed that could have consequences.
