Tucker and Tyler Vasher are two huge Michigan fans that could use a little support from the Fort this holiday season. They are twins and both have brittle bone disease (Osteogenesis Imperfecta). Over the course of their lives they estimate they have broken hundreds of bones. Due to this fragility they are confined and highly dependent upon their electric wheelchairs.
And that brings up their need for help. Their wheelchairs are breaking down. Controls not functioning, wheels breaking, and batteries not staying charged. Unfortunately, the insurance company continues to reject their claims for repairs or replacements.

The pinned tweet at the top of his twitter page shows his most recent video highlighting one of the many ongoing sagas with his wheelchair. Tucker comments “prisoner to my only source of independence”. Reliable and functional wheelchairs and lifts should be a given. But the Vasher’s need to struggle and fight for their mobility and safety.
Please consider helping Tucker and Tyler. Here is a link to Tucker’s Venmo account for providing any monetary donations. https://t.co/ACbiPFEjf3?amp=1. You will need to download the Venmo app from the App Store but it is relatively simple to donate from there. Funds will go directly to Tucker Vasher. Prayers are also extremely appreciated. So is bumping this thread once or twice.
Sorry for taking advantage of this platform to get their story out there. But I have seen over the last few years the tremendous support, prayers, and advice this community has provided for each other and others. And the Vasher’s are big UM fans and tied into closely with the UM community. They live in Harrison, MI. Here is a link to an article from the Michigan Daily including some further background and an amazing visit they received from Jourdan Lewis. https://www.michigandaily.com/section/football/jourdan-lewis-harrison-michigan-football
If you are able to donate include or mention the Fort in your comments section within Venmo. Tucker replies back to all donations.
These young men face many challenges and live with discomfort and pain. But they have the positive attitude that each day is a true gift and to count your blessings and not necessarily your problems. Inspirational leaders very much like Larry Prout Jr (a Fort favorite).
