that I was wrong. I’ve watched BIG12 football this year and was disgusted by the lack of defense and poor tackling, etc. Today it hit me that they are ahead of the curve. Defense DOES NOT matter in today’s college football landscape. As much as it pains me to say, defense is obsolete in today’s game and today proved it. Obviously the team with the most points always wins the game but today, to beat the best, you have to hit at least 35. If your offense isn’t made to score 50 against and true spread team, you’re behind the 8-ball and hoping a lot of breaks go your way. I’m not sure our team wins the BIG12 because our philosophy is to win by holding teams under 21 points. Jim must adapt and start putting athletes on the field that can score anytime the touch the ball. Today’s college football game has changed and it’s slowly creeping into the PRO’s so better adapt now or it will be too late.
