Michigan is not a hotbed of talent

Going to be above board

Academic constraints

Lacks big time offensive playmakers

Therefore the offense is going to focus on ball control/running game/TEs

IMO this gives us a chance when we will get the very occasional shot at the playoffs/NC...probably will not have talent to line up 5 wide, etc.

Defense. Again back to recruiting...not going to be Bama, Clemson, Georgia on the Dline/LB...so...

We have Brown's chaos theory D. Get pressure, force mistakes...worked like a champ 11/12 games. Top 5/10 defense since he has been here. What do you want?

UM is never going to be Bama, GA, Clemson talent-wise and never has been for a host of reasons.

Look at history...UM is a top 15 team with an occasional special season. Look at JH's 4 years, 7th in wins in CFB...a playoff contender going into OSU 2 out of 4 years. This is after 10-12 years of an absolute mess from the end of Lloyd to RR to Hoke's disaster...how bad was it? RRod might not coach again and Hoke was fired as a POSITION coach.

Yes we would all like to have a talent like Daxton but onward. I would be shocked if OSU didn't take a step back. Day isn't Urb and it would be surprising if that staff remained intact.

I think some have an unreasonable expectation and an incorrect memory of of UM being 12-1 every year. During Bo's heyday UM still managed to lose a game it shouldn't have. Plenty of 8-4s along the way too.

Give me 10-2 with integrity any day.
