I was talking with a friend whose kid is a two sport star: OL (6-5 290") and thrower (discus). He may have gotten a chance on his athletic talent to walk on at UM, especially with a 4.0 and a 35 ACT score. Long story short, he will be attending an Ivy League school to try both sports. In any case, the father was talking with a coach at the Ivy League school he will attend, who said we can't talk to athletes right now (dead period), but we will be finishing our workout at 3:00 and if we bump into you, well, then we can chat a little bit...Think about it for a minute: this is an Ivy League school who is recruiting a very good player, by their standards, but not a five star QB who could go anywhere.
Cheating, well, certainly the intent of the "law" has been violated. It is sort of like speeding, we all mostly do it, especially the one poster on this board who lives in Cincinnati who once bragged about all his speeding tickets, but most schools - and I am extending the metaphor - don't drive stolen cars (cheat at the felony level).
