To OSU fans posting in the thread below regarding what to see and do in A2...

Re: Of course he's right. I'm almost certain Grant Bowman's aunt

But no Michigan fan has ever been assaulted by a member of the OSU football team in Columbus.

You could also say AA couldn't compare to Columbus. They don't compare to each other so saying one is better than another is stictly a personal opinion.

Now Ohio State's campus area is awesome on football days. I love the stadium being closer to the main campus vs michigan stadium being so far away.

Columbus is not what I envision when I think of a college town....

Obviously, it's personal preference, but even as a Buckeye fan, I don't understand how you could prefer Columbus to Ann Arbor. Being a fan makes it difficult to be objective about things though.

Are you talking just in General? Living there? Working there? Football game days? Vacation Spot? Guys night out? What specifically do you like about it vs Columbus?

I'm talking about college environments....

Ann Arbor is the kind of town I think of when I think about college life. I don't think of big cities like Columbus. Ann Arbor has almost all of the things a big city can offer without most of the headaches. It's just a nicer place to spend 4 years in college than Columbus imo.

The words in your post pretty much excludes any evidence of objectivity on your behalf.

Re: My statement wasn't exclusive...

Fair enough Big House. I don't mind bias, by definition it's what I expect from fans. But generally if an excessive opinion is tainted by bias, then people should be willing to acknowledge it and admit it.

You know that for a fact little bucknut?

The area around the shoe is invested with trailer trash. It's a dump. Ann Arbor is 500 times better, much more sophisticated.

Diversity, average income, crime rate, average SAT/ACT score among population, academic standing of the schools, quality of medical school, behavior of the fans towards opposing team's fans - any other questions?

Re: Columbus is not what I envision when I think of a college town....

Reading this thread and the other ones similar to it makes me very nostalgic. It is very reminiscent of when I used to drive my son and his friends around when they were 10 years old.

Fortunately as an adult, I can take an objective look at the discussion. I've always heard that Ann Arbor is a very nice small college town. Columbus is rated very high nationally among large cities in real estate, business, and lifestyle publications.

Take away the bias and that's the reality.

So it sounds like you love a small town vs a big city. Like i said, the two are not compairable.

BTW, Columbus is more diverse than Ann Arbor. Weird since it's your #1 point.
