I want to first start by saying - you guys have a hell of a coach. Urban is perhaps the best X's and O's coach in college football. However, I honestly have lost a lot of respect for him over the past few months. Let's talk about your lovely QB - Cardale Jones. I think he might be the biggest douche bag in college football. He starts his career by saying "I came to school to play football, not study" and I am sure he probably has the IQ of a 4 year old (might be an insult to 4 year olds). He holds a press conference after playing 3 games to announce that he is "coming back" - who the heck holds a press conference to tell fans they are coming back? Must be a Cleveland thing (ala Lebron). Now he goes to visit some sick kids at the hospital and decides to basically crush them in a game...I am personally not a fan of letting folks win, but sick kids? Come on. This guys sounds like a complete winner and so does Urban for thinking that CJ is the best thing since sliced bread. At least JT Barrett is a classy kid. Glad he's not a Wolverine.

First of all, I don't love getting just on the Michigan Board. I am a college football/Big 10 fan and I get on most of the other boards. Because it seems line half the threads here mention OSU, I often respond.

If it is a reasonable discussion I respond with reasonable posts. If it's crap that gets posted, I respond in kind.

Regarding Tarun, thanks for your opinion, but no one, not Meyer, not any OSU fan, not anyone in any aspect of College football, besides OSU haters looking for an echo chamber, cares about your respect or lack of it for Urban Meyer. He'll survive.

Regarding Jones, again go ahead with your insults, you gave no idea about any of the situations in which you are referring.

Don't you have your board to attend? You seriously come here talking about "crap that gets posted" - have you seen the crap that gets posted by OSU alums on this board? Seriously man - you may want to scrub through this next time.

2nd of all - before you go about your stupid non-sensical rant, read what I wrote genius. I started by saying I think he's the best X's and O's coach - just that I don't respect him. Now, do I expect OSU fans or Urban to lose sleep over my dislike? No, and if either of them do - then you guys have some serious problems. Try looking up the definition of "opinion" in Webster before you go about speaking of insults, etc.

Finally - ahh as for Jones. I tell you what, I will let you entertain this board and tell us how Jones's "supposed situation" called for him to tweet out as a freshman that "I came to school to play football, not study". Please do enlighten me and this board on what those "situations" are. Also, feel free to advise me on the need for a press conference. Maybe I will forward you the backlash LeBron got when he decided to the "decision".

I love when people use the "I am a fan of the BIG" to attend other boards...you need a life man!

I have to agree, the power spread offense is simply amazing.

Hell yes! I love talking about our amazing quarterback situation! We can start with Cardale

The quote was "Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS"

I'll never fault someone for saying what at least half of the population is thinking.

He shold of gone pro, everyone was thinking he was going to go pro, It was huge news to hear he was coming back. Press Conferences are usually for big news. Pretty much a no issue.

He seems like a pretty awesome guy giving back like that.

like he did to Wisconsin, Alabama, and Oregon in the 3 starts you mentioned earlier.

Were you there? Did the kid take it really tough? I'm pretty sure the kid was having the time of his life.

Name a better quarterback after 3 starts since 1928, the year that the first bread slicer was sold. That was back when michigan was really good.

He's cool too, Want to talk about Braxton as well? The best trio of college quarterbacks ever on the same team. Pretty awesome!

100% agree...

My board? Your board? Really? How territorial of you! You realize this is the internet right? Do you even know where this board is hosted? Hint... not all in Michigan! Do you feel the same about different races and religions too? A special place for everybody?

Regarding Cardale and the presser. The kid was a kid when he tweeted that nonsense. Got close to being kicked off the team for that decision and other not so adult choices he made. Many people tried to help him. That's what we humans do, usually, for each other. All too many times the help/direction/assistance/love is not taken and a young persons life takes a different a very course. In this case Ginn Sr. was instrumental in helping this young man grow up and the results speak for themselves. Rather than get all maize and blue try to see the humanity involved and at least give a little respect. And there in lies the reason why there was a presser. It was a chance for Cardale to give a little back to Ginn Sr. who helps a lot more kids than just Cardale. I wonder if you had a Ginn Sr. in your life?

If you only wear your game face on Saturdays I think you will find a happier more peaceful life, there has never been a single point score on a message board even though you act like it's first and goal on here most times.

Wow - amazing rant from you - should be expected. Also, you need to think a few times before you take verbal barbs that are personal. Nothing in my post was personal but you want to get personal then you are a world class a**hole and you can shove your comments and your opinions back in Columbus and everywhere else you want to. Next time, learn to have a civil conversation around opinions. You don't see me talking about your mom, your role models, etc. You're an idiot - surprised I dignified a response to you - but I will and immediately after I will press the ignore button so I don't have to hear your clueless rant again.

this might surprise you O-lie-O fans but your mods kill UM chatter

on THEIR board so either UM's mods are stupid (a good chance) or no one gives a rip about O-lie-O comments. I also disagree with Tat.. who claims Urban Liar is a brilliant X and O type of coach. Given the combined IQ of the O-lie-O starters its a good thing academics and intelligence are not standards for playing with Liar. What did he have at Florida -- 17 criminals? How many at O-lie-O but the end of his 5th season?

Oh, cut the shit with this "He was just a kid! He needed guidance." garbage. If he was a Michigan player you would have eviscerated him, but because he's one of yours he was just a lost little lamb.

He said stupid, stupid shit. A lot of your kids say stupid shit.
A disproportionate amount actually.

Dude, how old are you - 12? Best trio of QBs all time? How about the 1997 Michigan squad that had Brady (arguably the best QB of all time period), Griese (who started quite a few games in the NFL), and Dreisbach is better then you current squad of 3. Now if you are talking college - only time will tell. Braxton and JT are awesome - Cardale, jury is still out, has only played 3 games (granted 3 very critical games).

Heck I would the 2005 MSU roster of QBs was better - Hoyer and Stanton both in the NLF and starting. Ultimately QBs is a arguement of their body of work, not 3 games!

Cardale Jone's tweet wasn't a smart move. Not because he meant what he said, but because as a football player at a school where everything makes the news, his tweets make the news. Even when he sent that out three years ago, his teammates said that was just his sense of humor. The same sense of humor you can see in the National Championship Media Day (you can Google it) when he was joking about being Tyvis Powell's (his roomate and OSU safety) father. The same sense of humor that you can see on YouTube when he is doing cart wheels while another OSU player is being interviewed during the playoff run. The same sense of humor you can see in his recent tweet about how people are getting the score wrong in his video game against the kid in the hospital. THe same sense of humor you can see when he joked about everyone making a big thing about the press conference where he announced his return to school.

Regarding the kid in the hospital. He visited the kid in a hospital and played him in a video game. I have a feeling that the child was entertained the whole time and wasn't offended. His parents certainly weren't complaining.

And finally, about the Press Conference. It was held at the Ted Ginn Academy for kids at risk. Ted Ginn is all about using his former players and publicity to help other kids. Here's a few examples. GInn gets a bus and takes underprivileged highschool players from Cleveland on a tour of football camps around the country in hopes of getting them scholarships. He uses the kids that everyone wants to bring exposure to those who are still looking for an opportunity to improve their lives.

He asks his players who are being heavily recruited to wait before committing so that coaches will continue to visit the school and possibly discover other athletes. Ginn did this with his own son, having him wait until Signing Day even though he had already decided to commit to OSU. Cardale Jones held the press conference because Ted Ginn Sr. asked him to do so in order to bring awarenss to the school and it's students.

JT, Braxton, and Cardale are all better college QB's than any of the guys you mentioned.

In all fairness, devin gardner in Urban Meyer's system would of probably made that list too.

Whats wrong with holdings press conference?

I honestly do think tUOS fans like our board better than their own board. I went over there and the only ones who post on there are angry beavers. So, it's possible that TUOS fans that post here so much probably can't stand some of their own fan base. So this is like a pleasant retreat for them. It's a just a theory though.

Here is the truth. Most posting on the OSU rivals site is on the premium board (The Horseshoe Lounge). Many OSU fans, like myself, refuse to pay to go to any site. Hence, we look around in other free places.

I don't blame you dude. I don't want to pay for that stuff either. The info on those boards becomes known eventually anyways. But your posters in the non-pay forums can be pretty ridiculous.
