As part of our recruiting coverage on TMBR, we feel that it’s necessary to travel and actually see the high school prospects that we cover. There’s only so much that can be done over the phone and it’s for the sake of the recruits that they see a face to who’s writing articles about them.
With Michigan tightening its recruiting efforts nationwide, that means TMBR gets the amazing opportunity to travel from coast-to-coast to see those who’s being targeted by Michigan. This entire month of May, beginning Monday, TMBR will be at six different towns and six different states leading up to Memorial Day.
Starting on Monday, TMBR will go local and watch team workouts at Detroit Cass Tech. The in-state powerhouse has a 2023 Rivals250 four-star defensive end Jalen Thompson who might be taking an official visit to Michigan and its 2025 class is loaded with four top players in the state. It’s important to get out and establish relationships with the schools nearby and TMBR has already laid the groundwork for that to transpire.
Wednesday, TMBR will get the unique opportunity to watch 2024 Rivals250 four-star tight end Tayvion Galloway individually workout with his head trainer and recruitment handler. Galloway is at the top of Grant Newsome’s board and TMBR feels strong about Michigan landing the Chillicothe, Ohio, native.
Thursday, TMBR travels through Indiana and up to Illinois to watch team workouts at Loyola Academy to get our first live look of 2023 Michigan commit and three-star defensive lineman Brooks Bahr. We’ll be getting reactions from Bahr himself about his recent decision, his relationship with Mike Elston, and him helping out with bringing in more to the 2023 class.
That weekend, TMBR drives to Philadelphia for another round of the Rivals Camp Series. We’ve already been to two so far down in Dallas and Indianapolis but now we’ll get to scout the best recruits out of the DMV, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Rivals Camp has been great for exclusive content and there will be a lot to provide you, the reader, from the city of Brotherly Love.
The following weekend, TMBR goes to the final Rivals Camp of the year in Atlanta. This one TMBR is really looking forward to because of the amount of Georgia and Florida targets who are being linked to Michigan. Plus, any excuse to go down south to write is a win for us.
Finally, on Memorial Day, TMBR is taking its biggest trip to date out west to the Seattle-Tacoma metroplex. We’ve established a new relationship with Ford Sports Performance, an NFL certified training academy located there, and they’ve invited us to watch and cover one of their spring games. Michigan has made the state of Washington a priority thanks to FSP and seeing recruits that far away in person will be a great opportunity.
Sounds like enough driving and flying, doesn’t it? Well, in the weeks between the Rivals Camps and Washington trip, we’re looking to make it to more high schools like Cass Tech throughout the midwest. We’re committed to bringing you, the reader, the best Michigan recruiting coverage and this is part of our way of doing so.
Be sure to follow along!
