Alright, want to come out and say this is not a thread about Covid, at least not squarely. It’s a thread about college football.
So, recently, my friend approached me about buying tickets to the Michigan-Wisconsin game. He purchased tickets for $150. I held off on the logic that there will be a sizable number of people who won’t feel comfortable going to large events this fall, thus driving down prices on the secondary market when the season starts.
I also spoke to my barber recently here in Iowa City. Long time Hawkeye season ticket holder and he said he’s not going to be going to any games this year. He can’t be the only one.
I’m curious if anyone knows people who are in a similar place and if anyone has thoughts on how this will affect the secondary markets once the season starts.
