1. Win the bowl game. Meyer leaving definitely creates an opportunity for Michigan to re-establish momentum, but it's not a given that if OSU rises that it will be Michigan stepping into the void. The same hope is now emanating from East Lansing, Lincoln and State College. UM is in a good spot, but it starts with beating Florida in the NY6. Do that, finish in the top 10, and it all sets up for UM to finally get past OSU with a new qb and new coach in 2017. Lose the bowl? It will feel very similar around here to the end of last year. Heck, if PSU wins their bowl, they'll likely finish ahead of Michigan for the third straight year and with UM at home, the momentum could be with PSU to step into the void in 2019. We need this bowl win to feel good about the offseason.

2. Don't assume that with Meyer gone, no changes are needed. I'd rather have Meyer back with Pep Hamilton gone than Meyer gone and Pep back.We need a modern offensive mind in here. With an offense that returns all of its wide receivers, 4/5 of its OL and an upperclassmen at qb, the last thing we need is an offense that again features the tight ends and running backs at all costs.

3. If Meyer coaches again, I think the most likely place is.....Ohio State. I'd bet it's more likely than not that Day fails. Not fails as the Rich Rod, can't get to a bowl, but if Day goes say 9-3 and 8-4 and drops a couple straight to Michigan, don't be shocked if the fans demand Urban Meyer's return. OSU fans will not tolerate losing to Michigan, and as long as Meyer is out there, fans will clamor for his return if the program slips at all. I could absolutely see a scenario in 2-3 years where OSU boosters take control and pay Meyer whatever he wants if they've fallen behind UM.
