Whoever is ahead between Michigan and Oklahoma won’t get passed by the other unless they lose. Both play tough enough schedules down the stretch.
If LSU or Georgia is No. 4 the committee is positioning the possibility for 2 SEC teams again if either wins the conference and Bama has 1 loss.
The key point in regards to Michigan is this, Michigan is undefeated if they scheduled out of conference like most of the SEC. To penalize Michigan for losing a 1 score game at an undefeated ND team would be extremely detrimental to the 4 team playoff. No point in playing a challenging out of conference game. For that reason alone I think Michigan is close to a sure thing if they win out.
