Plan B for sure, but he has some time to improve. One recruiting guru (Evans) says that he's one of the top 5 shooters in the class, but his game pretty much ends there at the moment. He can spot up, and he can stop and pop, but he won't create his own shot or take the ball to the hoop yet. The step back threes were nice, but college guards won't bite on that move until he proves that he can drive. In a way, he reminds me of THJ, who was just a spot up shooter as a freshman but gradually added to his floor game. Nunez isn't as athletic as THJ, but not bad pre-Camp Sanderson. When you watch his highlights, there's no ball screening, so he'll have to learn that skill, too.

In the past, he'd be a guy who'd get minutes even as a frosh. Our roster will allow him to come along slowly - unless he surprises and really steps up his game in the next year. Also, I like getting a kid from NYC.
