I think UM was very tentative in the first 30 minutes. But the 2nd half guys like Peppers started running to the ball (he's for real).

I thought Fred Jackson was a marginal RB coach but why can't the RBs follow their blockers with Wheatley in charge? As much bashing of the OL I've read about, the RBs were as much responsible. OL did a very good job on pass protection, btw.

Utah's secondary was its weakest section of defense. UM receivers beat coverage almost every time. I realize JH wants to establish an identity but I was taught to take advantage of what you're given. There was no reason not to pass to set up the inside running game (and score some points as well).

The second half showed that JH did make adjustments and also claim his troops down. They played (except inside run blocking) better. Too many missed opportunities and of course we all know that a road team will lose if it leads in turnovers. 3-0 doomed UM.

btw, Utah fans were great and made us feel very welcome but I still can't believe folks paid big bucks to stand in the rafters.

I'm going to be for some well deserved sleep.

Our fans raved about the great treatment they got from you guys last year, so I am glad we reciprocated. Broke attendance records with that game. The Admin. has been dragging it's feet on a 10,000 +/- expansion project that's sorely needed, I hope this provides another kick in the pants to get it going...

I would imagine that the Pac 12 would almost mandate stadium size these days. WSU has the smallest stadium I've ever visited (bigger high school stadiums in Texas). Anyway, did you see where a bunch of Wolverine fans left a $3,000 tip?

Best of luck to the Utes the rest of the season. btw, Whittingham was my #2 choice of JH didn't sign on.
