Thoughts about this years recruiting class.

This is a thought that I've had.
Now I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that national signing day is going to be huge for UM.
I think we'll get alot of great commits and even a couple recruits flipping their commitment to UM on NSD. Najee Harris.
But its going to be quiet until NSD with maybe just 1 or 2 commits between now and then.
What you guys think?

I don't think we get Harris. I think he's a lock to head to Bama personally - they have a huge track record for producing NFL RBs while Michigan does not just yet and we will have a very young line next year. Harris is likely a 3 year and done star that would rather go some place where he can put up yards - all my speculation, no facts.

I am not sure about how big NSD will be for us - we may get 2-3 folks that wait until then. Tariq Black, Nico Collins and DPJ will all announce before NSD. I think DPJ wants to enroll early if I am not mistaken. I think Ruiz, Wilson and some of those other guys likely wait until NSD but I think there will be little drama on that front.

Either which way, I think our class will be very solid. Harbaugh showing his willingness to get true freshmen to play very meaningful minutes and play often is going to be very helpful. I expect a Top 10 class again loaded with the type of talent we really care about and want. With almost 15-20 seniors in this class graduating, there will be a lot of true Freshmen that will be asked to play and contribute. Should be a great one!

I'm still holding out hope for flipping Harris. He's not 100% solid with bama right now either and he still has 5 (i think) official visits to take.

I think it will mirror our season (performance on the field). If we have an extraordinary finish to the year it will be an extraordinary recruiting finish..

Barring a complete meltdown, even a 10-2 season won't hurt our recruiting. I think recruits know we are trying to recruit better talent across the board and I think JH has already shown what he can do with the talent he landed.
