different people in the 1st half. Game was there for the taking.

But this is going to be the big challenge going forward. Irvin is streaky. LeVERT can't carry the entire team. This team needs help from Chatman & Dawkins. None today.

Doyle is fine. Donnal battled hard. Max contributed. Spike was fine.

Gotta get something from the #4 or UM loses unless Irvin & LeVERT are hot. It's that simple.

Chatman needs to go to the Trey Burke school of offensive development. 5 hours a day at the gym in the off season. He has great hands and vision but is a finesse player. Nothing wrong with that...but unless he can score on the perimeter no one is going to over play him.

Dawkins should join Chatman. Work on handle and mid-range game. Both are just raw but upside is there with hard work.

This team is very very young including Irvin. This team is too young at too many spots. Too raw at too many spots. Robinson will help this team next year.

P.S. I thought Irvin actually played a 'smarter' game today...just needs to start finishing around the hoop. Damn he missed some relatively easy finishes.

I don't know what game you were watching.

I saw disarray. They didn't know what to do, and Chatman should not be starting, AT ALL! They did run up and down the court a lot, great effort on that part. I will say Dawkins could help, just need to start, get into the flow, get banged around. Chatman brings nothing to the game.

The effort was definitel there..they came to play and did fine in

the 1st half. I hate to be repetitive :)...as mentioned in other posts.

1. Got to figure out how to get points from the #4. I agree...Chatman needs to come off the bench and maybe move to the #5 or PnR.

2. Irvin needs to be more consistent. Stop launching so many 3 pt shots and get to the line. Yesterday was better but damn he missed some easy shots.

This game was there for the taking with some better play. It was also there to get blown out without Albrecht and Max B.

If you watch the game again.

Just check out the off balanced shooting, the standing around, and no spacing. Just awkwardness the whole game. Granted making a few shots here and there makes you over look the obvious, just check out the flow of the team. It's like they have no idea who they are playing with, just five guys on the floor, not a team.

We are watching different games. I see the problem as the #4

doesn't do anything offensively which then allows opponents to overplay LeVERT. Did you see how Purdue structured the defense...reminded me of the old Burke days against teams. They basically double teamed him the entire game and tried to get the ball out of his hands.

When the #4 spot doesn't give you a threat at any level then it 'clogs up' the offense. Irvin being so wildly inconsistent is a major problem. I saw some standing around here and there but mostly because it became LeVERT against the world. They don't trust other scoring options on the floor.

To make my point...look at the Illinois game. When guys started making shots (Dawkins)...the offense just flowed. JB is going to have to figure out how to get scoring from the #4 (especially in his system)...rolling off picks and then getting Irvin to be more consistent and minimizing 3 pt shots and this offense will take off and be fine.
