A motto I associated with the 1969 team and have also tied to this 2018 season.. I keep the banner on my wall as a personal reminder to persevere when things get tough. My personal journey has included surviving two bouts with Cancer and a life threatening series of medical events this past summer. Every morning I touch that banner to remind myself to fight on one day at a time.
This Football season has reminded me of that saying. It began with super high expectations only to lose game one while we seemed to lose a player to transfer or injury every day. Then we fell behind to Northwestern and battled back to pull that one out.
Now we stand with our goals in sight.
Those who have persevered through it all(players, coaches and fans) "those who stayed ARE Champions" GO BLUE!!!!
