Forget stats, etc. Let's base this on the eye-ball test. This team clearly does not seem to want to play for each other or play for Jim Harbaugh. Infact I think they would prefer to get their Saturday's back and sleep in and that part is very clear. The "togetherness" mantra they were preaching...well they have all stank at football together. My question is - once a HC loses a team where players are just disinterested or nonchalant, can they ever get them back to buying in? Can they ever get them back to wanting more and better without replacing the HC? Not sure I have seen that really happen in college football - you see it in basketball all the time. Perhaps Auburn maybe? Dantonio did have 2 seasons in the middle where he went 7-6 and 3-9 only to win 10 each season after but his teams never quit on him - they just were not good but played hard. Curious.
