This sure seems like a Brady Hoke game

Other then Ruddock, nobody has showed up today. This team has been completely flat. Any other QB and we would be down by 16 points. I don't know why we are even trying to run - they can not cover our WRs and TEs, we should just throw all day long with a 4-man rush that they have on. We need to score on this drive otherwise we are in trouble. Even 3 keeps it a 1 possession game.

I don't see any Brady Hoke in this game. I see a good IU offense and a well coached UM team (exclude ST's) that has some limitations and a defense that still needs an upgrade in certain areas.

QBs and WRs have been on point this game, but I have to wonder how much of the Hoke, "we don't show up on the road" blues is going on. This and the Minnesota game were as much mental games, UM just not having their heads in the game, as anything.

It seems Clappy-esque in the sense that we don't block anybody and the defense can't get a big stop or a turnover.

If that was someone's first time watching UM, they wouldn't have been impressed with the coaching at all. Way too many penalties on mental errors, burned timeouts early, no adjustment to IU's run game, more special teams mistakes, and poor tackling. Thankfully we won, but today wasn't Jim and his coaching staff's best game. I expect those issues will be fixed by next week.

Careful. You are going to get ripped for telling the truth. Brady Hoke like coaching today?
1) Up 21-9 with 4 minutes left in the half, we could have put the game away, likely, by either getting a couple first downs, driving for a FG, or scoring a TD. Instead, we get conservative, in a predictable 3rd and long since we can't block run plays, and let them back in the game. That play calling was awful.

2) The play calling at the end of the half from the four yard line was weird, more weird that Peppers did not touch the ball once. Could have been up 28-16 at half instead of 24-16.

3) The poor focus, evident by ridiculous penalties all game was discouraging.

4) Again, with a piss poor running game ALL year, the play calling prior to the go ahead FG at 27-26 was atrocious.

I noted before after criticizing very questionable coaching moves/overall coaching that JH and his staff are great. They will win big, maybe playoffs next year, but very discouraged by some BH like coaching ending MSU game, at Minnesota, and today. The team played flat and unfocused most of the game. And the OL is regressing.
