Here's a story you don't see every day.
This looks like a fix. Why would the team be kicked out and not those kids? Why kick them out at all? Did they check every kids Snapchat? Maybe some of the had racist jokes? maybe others had bad stuff too, let's kick everyone out until we get the outcome we want.
A softball team from Atlee, Virgina, was removed from the championship game of the Junior League World Series -- an international tournament for girls aged 12-15 -- after posting an image to Snapchat of various players flipping the bird.
Atlee's team, by the way, had reportedly outscored its opponents by a 29-1 margin over the course of the tournament. Their replacement in the championship game, Kirkland, lost to host Ohio by a 7-1 score.
and this is an old but,
This story kills me. Instead of teaching their kids about sports, winning and losing and that sometimes things will not always go your way if you don't take care of things you have to do. The parents taught their kids if you cry and b!$ch and cry more so sucker will let you have your way.
Parents who do stuff like this are LOSERS! Nice way to teach your kids every kid should always get a trophy.
The Little League Softball World Series turned controversial Monday when a team from Snohomish, Wash., threw a game against a team from North Carolina, losing on purpose to force a three-way tie in the US division that would eliminate a powerhouse team from Iowa. Nevertheless, it was done so blatantly the Iowa team won an appeal with Little League International and earned the right to play Washington in a one-game playoff in Portland, Ore., on Tuesday morning.
Iowa prevailed 3-2 to advance to the semifinals and eliminate Washington from the tournament.
On Monday night, Washington was no-hit by North Carolina in an 8-0 defeat after they benched multiple starters, including their best four players, had players bunt with two strikes and told them to swing at balls in the dirt.
In less than 24 hours, it went from sadness to elation for the girls from Iowa.
“It took about a half-inning for the girls to catch on,” Husak said of the tanking situation.
“We were trying to keep it from them, but you could see when they caught on that the tears started to pile up. It was pretty emotional.”
Iowa you care way to much about winning kids softball, EVERYONE knows you didn't really win, I hope you get that but I am sure if our one of those parents you don't get it.
How about just letting the kids play until there is a winner and a loser. Maybe it's just my generation but that's how it was and should be. Any 40 to 45 year old people agree? Just curious any 25 to 35 year old parents think I am crazy and would Cry, Cry, Cry?
