Did my undergrad at USAFA so even though my passion for UM football is much higher than USAFA, it's hard for me to root against either team. Anyone else have this issue between their undergrad and grad schools?
I think my hope is that UM wins since they have more to gain (and lose). When it comes down to it, the service academies mainly want to beat the other academies, maybe another key rival or two (we disliked Colorado State back in my day), and staying competitive when playing one of the "big boys" like UM, ND, or such. I also hope both teams come away without significant injuries. I know UM linemen are worried about AF's cut blocks (they should be...but that's really the only way a 260 lb lineman can "block" as 320lb one) but I also hope that AF's qb's and rb's are not taken out by the large caliber, high velocity projectiles we have on UM's D (mainly Bush and Gary).
