a really good one to find out what we got this year. At least it wasn't a horrible loss...
We were probably expecting to blow them out, but were looking for the highlight dunk material and ended up throwing up bad passes and unfocused play. This was Oakland's Super Bowl, and they came to play.
The ugly loose play gave JH an opportunity to take it to the team at halftime (I assume)...I think from time to time, that kind of tongue-lashing is useful...
For all that the transfers Smith and Brown were against BG (35? points), they were cold tonight. Livers did what Livers do, but without any offense from Franz (again!), someone had to step up. The freshmen really brought it, and Hunter was outstanding.
We'll get it figured out, but we stepped up to handle some adversity after a very lackluster first half, followed by some much better shooting from the opposition. It took extra time for us to pull away, but a solid OT finally made it all come together...
We'll know more in a couple weeks, but this was not the worst experience...tough on the heart though...
