I gotta believe the campus is alive tonite ! Trying to think back to when a win felt this good , and how much pressure has been released on a ton of M fans , students , players , coaches everywhere . I mean how many folks are sitting back tonite , chuckling on what today’s game meant and the great feeling it brought .
I for one was nervous all week ..... I knew we had the better team , but so many years we have . I was at that game where the punt ruined a weekend ...... all of us ate at Knights Steakhouse , and I was in the Men’s Room when a Michigan player came in . We stood there and I finally said , “ That was brutal “. He looked at me and just said , “ Yeah “. I asked him what position he played and he said , “ I was one of the gunners on the punt team “. He then said , “ I didn’t see what happened as when the ball was snapped I took off “. I just said “ Shame “ and walked out .......I was so discouraged that night thinking , How f ing unlucky can a team be ? Then I was thinking , “ to those assholes on top of it “. Well as I sit here tonite in my chair I am so damn happy .......I was thinking at halftime today ...... could our shit luck be returning ? I have to say , that deflection that bounced our way to Gentry for the first down was so big . I mean he was close to being out of bounds , yet had one foot INBOUNDS when he caught the ball ...... and we got 2 of those today ! In the past that NEVER would have happened !!!! We so deserved a couple of breaks in this series and finally got a couple . That and we made some plays on offense .......the defense was just incredible , but the offense did some things that were timely and huge ! So now we have a bye week ....... which I LOVE as it gives me extra time to savor this W. Oh and SCREW Dumtonio !!!!! That little weasel new what the hell his POS kids were doing .......
