That I’m clinging to is that this is the first marquee game since Florida for us. I know MSU is a rivalry game, but it was not hyped like Florida was, and definitely not like PSU. And the anticipated weather followed by the actual weather in the MSU game threw off the flow of the game. No excuses. We got whipped fair and square. But that game did not have the same build up as Florida did.

My point is that we were fired up for Florida. We set the edges on defense. We flew to the ball. We played focused and disciplined. We have not seen that intensity since. I think it’s very possible that we see it a Saturday night. That intensity could be the difference between us creating a few breaks to go our way which we all know can make a huge difference.

PSU is ranked #2. Their highest in forever. They’re at home at night, and the huge favorite. It is already presumed that they will crush us. They have a huge rematch against OSU the following week. Michigan has been their kryptonite for years. The big underdog Michigan stands in their way of a epic showdown the following week. Can they handle being the big dog with everything to lose? They will be facing a hornets nest with our defense. I’d be a little nervous if I was them.
