One of my biggest gripes about Harbaugh's offenses was personnel usage. With a couple exceptions, it felt like it was almost entirely plug-and-play with little consideration for individual skillsets. As a result we had things like McDoom trying to catch fade routes, Gentry blocking every run play, and struggling linemen left on an island against elite pass rushers.
Now we have a coordinator who recognizes that we have a deep group of capable backs with different skillsets. So instead of being complacent and rotating them into an existing offensive template, he comes up with a new package to better utilize the talents of a strong position group.
