for me is that the O demonstates growth
- that M wins the games it should
- that it wins at least one game observers believe it shouldn't
- that when the dust settles, it's clear the program is still ascending/developing
- that the play on the field is such that there is no clamor for any coaching changes
Modest enough, but also strong enough to stave off national "what's wrong at Michigan" debates
I like where the program is at and where it's heading.
I'm not thrilled, but the worries i had about next season and beyond - they were knocking at the door - are contained.
