If you want to catch a game at Yost this year, the first half of the season is your friend; only six road games the entire first half. Of course that means there are only five home games in the second half, so not many opportunities to see games then.

Other than a weird start to the season, the first half is pretty regular. Friday/Saturday games throughout, making things nice and predictable. The weird is that they open against Vermont on Saturday, not even an exhibition before hand to iron out a few of the inevitable problems that you see at the start of a season. Thankfully that is also Vermont's opening game so both teams should be equally rusty. They play Waterloo on Sunday in exhibition number one. The following weekend they have exhibition number two when they host the US NTDP team.

At least the GLI is being played in December and not on New Years day, although the second day is going to start earlier than usual since they are making it a full day of hockey. Two GLI games (first one at 11:30 AM), followed by a Wings game to cap off the day.

Second half starts off with a brutal run. Saturday the 5th they are at Notre Dame (this was going to be the outside game, but right now the schedule says it's inside, we'll see). The following Tuesday they host Merrimack, then on Friday and Saturday play two at Ohio State. Four games over the course of seven days, after a shorter than normal break following GLI; this is going to be a tough stretch. Then they have just two games the rest of the month; one at home and one in New York against PSU (that big ten challenge thing).

The rest of the schedule is fairly standard; all Friday/Saturday games with the last two games being played at Wisconsin.
