Sucks to get beat by a mediocre MSU team at home, but the rivalry record complaints are misplaced. It seems that he's getting tainted with the putrid record of the preceding coaches. They keep saying how Dantonio won 4 of the last 5 at the Big House. That's not all on Jim. And MSU won on the flukiest of fluke plays two years ago when we were the underdog and they were the ranked team. We beat them solidly at EL last season. Lost a close one yesterday in an admittedly bad performance. We were light years behind OSU when Jim arrived and got waxed in year one. Then we go into Columbus in just Jim's second year, with a damaged QB, and lost on the spot of the ball OT. This year? Go ahead and write us off.
We could be taking a step back this season. In fact, we are likely to unless O'Korn gets going and the offense starts clicking. But it's too soon to just throw in the towel on Harbaugh. He didn't win all those games at Stanford and San Fransisco by chance.
