FSU released a news report that another lawsuit has been filed in Leon County Court. FSU has contended three misrepresentations by the ACC who is obviously hiding the truth.
Several sticking points include the following.
1. The ACC hasn't at this time presented to the NC Judge Bledsoe the Media Agreement. The judge only has 12 of more than a 100 page media contract. The ACC is demanding the judge to accept only the ACC's word, that Judge Bledsoe only needs those 12 of more than 100 pages to make a ruling against FSU.
The kicker thus far is that Judge Bledsoe demanded the full TV contract. Bottom line, the ACC refuses still to follow the Judges direct request, as the ACC demands a pro ACC ruling upon only the 12 of more than 100 page median contract. The ACC presented to Judge Bledsoe. FSU & Clemson has presented that the ACC has engaged in full deception to protect the ACC from it's schools from leaving the ACC.
2. The ACC is fudging their authority by giving ESPN an additional 4 years from 21 to 24 to determine if ESPN will continue the contract of the ACC. In the FSU BOD meeting a nuclear bomb was set off when it was hidden from the ACC member schools that ESPN could walk away from the ACC in 2026 as the final year of the ACCN.
Clemson is making this same argument in the South Carolina courts against the ACC. Legally the reality is that the schools can simply leave and it is a simple formality.
3. The FSU lawyers have argued and shown why the ACC complaint MUST BE DENIED and this case must be turned over to the courts in Florida.
In short, the ACC isn't long for survival. FSU & Clemson continue to argue that there is something in the ESPN Media Contract that may kill the ACC Conference.
The CFB soap opera of conference realignment is exploding as we watch what is unfolding.
We shall see...
