In the past two regimes mid-October is when UM generally slides from a 5-1 or 5-2 start into consecutive, ugly losses. A measure of progress for the program, the mental toughness of players, and of the coaches changing course direction will be to unmistakeably take care of business in Minneapolis on Halloween. If we struggle or lose that will be an ominous sign.

Agree. Would be wild if the coaches over the two weeks off realize that we can't take the next steps with Ruddock at QB and the resultant overly conservative, predictive offense ... and use the two weeks to get a non-stop gap QB ready.

I'm ready to gamble on that at this point. We've got the D and STs to back up taking a bit more of an attacking, more wide open style of offense.

I don't see that happening, you have to have weapons for a wide open attack and we have precious few on offense.

Ominous sign of what? A first year coach trying to implement (and is pretty gd successful so far at it) a new offense/defense/coaching regimen?

Some of you need to chill the f out.

We already have the same wins as we had for the entire previous season.

Oh come on. Michigan will crush Minnesota, Rutgers, Indiana and beat PSU soundly this year, The only team that can beat this team the rest of the year is OSU. I like Harbaugh's chances against Luke Fickell.

You aren't talking to me if you're calling for people to chill out, I'm not the one saying put Morris in friend, I think you suggested burning a redshirt to see what he could do. And I'm not the one pissing all over our special teams, etc.

I'm just saying a clear sign of moving forward from the Hoke, mental-lightweight days, is to get over this loss and beat Minny soundly like we should. You need to slow down on posts from friendlies like me and realize what I was and was not saying. Go Blue!

I didn't say I don't think they'll win...read my comment again, I say it will be a sign that they're moving forward if they don't play with a hangover or lose the next game. I never said or predicted they would nor do I expect them to.

Put down the crack pipe, Michigan isn't losing to Minnesota.

(sorry, just piling on, HA!)
