-Win the turnover battle (a key to winning every game)
-minimize the 15 yard penalties (and get a fair shake from the officials)
-win the rushing battle handily (to control the clock)
-Get off the field on 3rd and 5 yards plus

There is no doubt in my mind that Haskins will be hoisting it deep to a WR on our safeties so pressure on him and the ability for our DB’s to get eyes on the ball and make a play will have a lot to do with a positive outcome. As has been the case all season, on 3rd and 7 or less the slants will be the route OSU thinks they have an advantage on. Again, while it hasn’t beat us yet this season, it has been a vulnerability. It will be interesting to see how Coach Brown counters this strategy.

We are due a few breaks from the officials but I don’t expect Columbus is a place where we will get them. There is leadership in the offensive huddle so ball security will be stressed this week n practice and on the sidelines during the game. Our strategy will be run the ball and then make OSU pay when they start cheating up. Expect a 2 to 1 run to pass ratio unless OSU just makes it clear they are stacking the LOS to stop the run. The TE’s will have a lot of opportunities to make plays this week and I expect success there. OSU linebackers couldn’t cover a fire with a blanket-M has a big advantage.

This is the most confident I have been about a victory over OSU since the Fickell game. Happy Thanksgiving all and Go Blue!
