In this shortened season they can be no worse than 1-7. There will be no playoff for UM and no Bowl game. They look like MSU players playing in Maize and Blue uniforms. At least nothing was expected of Sparty this year and so they have an excuse. This was said to be JH's best team.........and he has lost it. Next year will be a new year. It may have a new coach and a vastly different roster. It was not a good show the team to put on for the BIG recruiting weekend. How many of those recruits they lost from their performance will be seen in the coming days. In these days when transferring is made easy, I can believe some will like DM look for other teams that want to win. So if they don't want to play here, then they might as well find their fit. I don't ever remember shutting off a game before the end until last night. I endured until halftime and then went to sleep.......just like the Wolverines did all game. I believe this team has talent, but the coaches haven't mined it. There wasn't an area of this team that wasn't exposed by UW last night. They moved at will against the UM defense, and consistently stopped the UM Offense all night. How much is on the coaches? They appear old and tired. With schemes that are predictable. The players appear to just be going through the motions. The excuse they are just young is getting old. I do believe they now have no confidence they have any chance of winning. So youth, confidence, motivation, no trust in game plan or coaches. I just watch UW and they always look the same under their coaching staff. Tough, well coached, young and experienced, and great leadership coming from the top. When does UM Basketball start?
