I don’t know that a game at ND at night in week one where Michigan outgained ND clearly establishes that ND is more deserving of a playoff spot than Michigan. If that game is in Ann Arbor, that All but evaporates their Margin of victory, and the eye test in recent weeks clearly shows that Michigan has become absolutely elite. If we win in Columbus and Indy and it comes down to it, are we sure that ND gets the nod over UM in the doomsday scenario?

Further, how do you put unbeatable Bama in the playoff when they just proved they are not unbeatable and there are more deserving teams that actually won their conference championship? The SEC championship should act as a defacto playoff game in that scenario IMO.

Now Clemson is gonna lose to BC and ND to USC and none of this will matter, but I’m just thinking out loud here
