@BlueMonster was right and I was wrong. I knew Milton was greener than hell coming out of HS (his 1st year of starting at QB was his junior year) but he oozed potential and had an extremely high work ethic, and I bet that it was enough in conjunction with his competition with DMac that 3 years in, he would have advanced far enough to win the easy ones and gain valuable experience in the tough ones. Again, I was wrong. The game is to fast for him right now, maybe forever, but I will always be grateful that he busted his ass for UM.
This is solidly on the offensive coaches. What Cade did last night was spectacular (bluemonster called it). He looked like a state Gatorade POY, polished QB. I am 110% in support of him leading this team forward and after his game last night am excited to watch the next games as opposed to apathetic after MSU. He has a little Gardner Minshew in him in that he isn't great at anything except making the right decisions (thus far).
Our defense is still terrible. Maybe Cade can overcome this deficiency , but he has to score a min 30 a game to win a game. We'll see.
Lastly, I hope JM transfers to a MAC level school, (maybe Coach Mac will take a shot with him at Central), but after next year with Cade, Vilari, and JJ, I think Joe would have a better chance to see success elsewhere. The young man works hard and is grinding, I would love to see that pay off for him in the future.
Go Blue!!!
