I've brought this up before and i still don't buy some of the explanations. If we start with the widely held assumption...a camp I reside in myself..... that there is an entire world of green handshakes, car keys, untraceable boosters buying recruits, PED's and countless other illegalities ......a mystery still remains. With the volume of kids that have received said benefits or used PED's, doesn't it seem highly likely that there would always be a highly sought after 5 star athlete that, for whatever reasons fails to live up to their lofty projections and becomes extremely disgruntled because he finds himself 3 deep on the depth chart and starts to chirp. To me you would think it would happen all the time and pissed off athletes or even dads would command the stage and "tell it all". Even the practice dummy with a conscience or the desire to cash in the secret world he is a witness to. So many kids washout or are booted from these programs for disciplinary reasons that you would think they might have an axe to grind. Wouldn't there be a million media ears just waiting to do the expose'. Even just a handful? Nobody breaks the code of silence? Not one?
