My own appreciation for it has winked like an old, problematic bulb.
That just tells me I was far more prepared to enjoy a glide than any kind of bumpy ride.
I ask myself the sobering question of "well, what did you expect. Really???"
As for the reaction of the greater board, my reaction to offensive struggles is no better than anyone else's.
I do try to not isolate specific players though.
It has its place or may be unavoidable, but I hate doing it and would rather not read it.
