Was when Jedd Fisch was here. It also seemed to fit with Jim's overall offensive philosophy. This is our second go-around with the (modern football) upgrade. The first time we tried it under RR it was a complete bust. Now I know what RR was doing is not the same as what Gattis is trying to do but many of the moving parts are similar. Smaller, quicker WR out in space...Blah, blah, blah. Maybe Jim's in no man's land and can't find his way out. He looks frustrated on the sidelines and I'm starting to believe that in Jim's heart that this type of football is not his type of football.
Last year he made a point of telling anyone that would listen that he was turning the reigns over to Gattis. Well, In my humble opinion, doing that was a mistake. We have no identity. When Jim came here we thought we were going to have an identity similar to his days at Sanford. It started off well but ever since Fisch left we have been struggling.
Personally, I hope Jim steps down. I don't think he still has the energy to grab this team and rebuild it in his image. If he doesn't step away, he must force himself to quit being the CEO and coach football the way he wants it to be. He will have to be in everybody's business if this is to turn around.
