The Harbaugh Autopsy
There are many smart, well informed, well connected people on this board who saw this coming long ago
The hints have been on this board for many months, years.
This program is clearly a mess, likely one that cannot be repaired by the current staff
Harbaugh is a Coach
Lots of us believe that Harbaugh has some real talent as a coach, leaders and recruiter
He did not accidentally win all those San Diego, Stanford, NFL playoff games before he came here.
He did not accidentally win 73% of his games at Michigan prior to this season
The Cause, The Trigger
At some point we will want to understand the genesis of this disaster.
I doubt there will be a single defining moment or a single bad decision
Things like this are typically the accumulation of bad decisions or conditions over a period of time that linger, unaddressed and unrepaired
Finally, things reach a breaking point.
How did this happen? Gradually, then suddenly.
The Autopsy Report
At some later date I hope someone with institutional history, (@totchman @Section_6 , @JohnBorton , @ChrisBalas, et al) will tell the story and lay out the timeline.
That will be more than simple voyeurism for the car wreck on the side of the road
I hope it will be instructive and informative to all of us who have invested far more than simple time and treasure in this team and this university.
