is that a conservative, ball control, smash mouth offense significantly helps your defense against aggressive, wide open offenses. There has been a hysteria gripping the board in the last 24 hours. “Change the offense! Let it evolve!” A grind it out, 8 minute drive takes time and possessions away from the other teams offense. You begin to control the game. It also prevents fatigue in your defense.

I am not sure Michigan has the horses to run a ground control game plan however there is a logic behind the Michigan offense. You can go ahead and fire arrows at my post however the Michigan offense has a goal and it is far from antiquated.

The execution of the offense was absent yesterday. One yard gains on first and second down is not an adequate offense. It impacted both sides of the ball yesterday.
