I don't believe what I just saw. I don't believe it. Did O'Neil just do that. Could the play go any worse? If he just picks up the ball...MSU has to hail mary the last play.

I don't know what to say. Guy is a great punter and I am glad he is on the team but Wow. The UM defense really stood up. I am impressed and all for not with a legendary flub. This will go down in sports history as one of the top 5 end of game flubs ever.

Obviously I did not have a dog in this fight, but I turned on the Michigan-Michigan State game to catch the end, and what an ending it was.

I can't recall catching a finish quite like that live. That's some Herm Edwards on the Eagles type of stuff. But hey...it could be worse. Your coach could be Al Golden.

This was a little worse than the Auburn return because it was so unexpected. There have been several returns of missed and short field goal attempts and it could be expected. There was a lack of coaching by not going over all the "What ifs" with the punter during the time out. The expected good execution of the play over shadowed the worse case possibility and was a coaching error that I can figure will not be repeated. I do believe this is probably the best example of locking barn door after the horse is gone that I could ever think of citing as an example.

This was definitely not worse than Auburn's shocker vs. Alabama. You get precious few shorts at a NC, and that ended Alabama's for that year.

At this point the stakes in the Bama/Auburn were MUCH higher....making it worse as of today. If ultimately Michigan runs the table, crazy as it is to think, they would be getting an invite to Final Four. Then you CAN say that this was worse.
