#4 in the books, but Froome did not win a stage (although was an impressive 3rd in stage 20 TT). Does Froome rank with the all-time TdF greats (Anquetil/Merckx/Hinault/Indurain/LeMond)? Remember thinking in 2012 Bradley Wiggin's victory that Froome, his teammate, looked stronger, and embarrassed Wiggins by dusting him at the end of a long hilly stage. TdF is far more a team sport than most observers realize, and Team Sky was clearly the best - so how good is Froome? Better than Contador at this peak? I have followed pro cycling for 10 years, so don't have the benefit of seeing many of the all-time greats compete.
