Army-Navy week!!!
Before I write a fluff piece (I will save that before I post an “Official: ARMY-NAVY Game Thread” Saturday)..... let’s just do my question.
I didn’t serve.
My father was in the Navy. My grandfather the Army.
Am I allowed to wear a Navy shirt or Army shirt to support the academies?
I have done both at football games (both teams).... but when I wear the shirts (game or just around for the day), I get a lot of people “Thanking me for my Service,” and I instantly have to correct them saying, “Awww sorry, you can’t thank me. I will thank my Dad (or Grandpa) for you. I am wearing this in support.”
But half the time I then get an ugly look or glare like, “really? Why ya wearing this then?”
Those who have served and I know there are quite a few of you on here: am I allowed to wear “Army and Navy” t shirts? I can post the pics of them too if that helps.
