Sparty tears always taste sweet. Except when tainted by anger, bitterness and hate.

Reasons they lost to the Children of the Corn (all on offensive side of ball)
  • 6 dropped passes, injuries, bad reads by the RB's, injuries, weather
  • Play calling was fine. Execution was the issue.
  • Injuries have ruined the year and kept them from winning the east.
  • Zebras hit them with big penalties that killed drives and took points off the board.
The general mob's mood:
  • There is a lot of anger and poster on poster violence about the team.
  • They are angry about offensive coaching and S&C. They have scored 12 points in the last two games dropping them to #116 in offensive points per game
  • Injuries are killing the team. But even if the first team was playing everywhere, would it matter?
  • Inability to run the ball is killing the team and it has nothing to do with talent o_O
  • Dantoni has to fire his offensive staff but won't because they are his friends
Summary of the Michigan-hate threads as it is dawning on them we could win the B1G
  • Chase Winovich's injury generated a few threads of joy (he is not popular there ;))
    • Chase is the dirty player as he stepped on an IU OL's let and it wasn't called.
  • They will be rooting HARD for OSU.
Now that their season is a train wreck, reality is setting in how what next year looks like:
  • Talent: They question their talent level, especially now that PSU, OSU and UM are showing consistent strength. They are excited LJ Scott and Lewerke are coming back next year, as they need them. The other guys aren't B1G talent, IMO. Is Cody White your #1 receiver?
    • Lewerke was off all year. Just like McSorley after the OSU game. When your QB gets beat up, it impacts their performance. Will Lewerke recover to be a serviceable QB? Big question. McSorley hasn't been right after the OSU game as another example.
  • Offense: Their team offensive stats have been going down year over year since 2014. This is not a one year problem. You remove Conklin, the Allan brothers, Cook, etc... and don't replace them then you have big problems. Their OL cupboard is not bare but it isn't at the same level
  • Offensive coaching: Comp does not think changes will be made. I hope this is the case because it is helpful to our cause.
  • Defense: Year after year, they are really good. They put their best talent on that side of the ball.
Can Rutgers beat MSU? How many fans will show up at The Landfill this weekend? I put the over under at 45K. Rutgers will feel almost at home with all of those empty seats. Not even Rutgers can beat an undermanned Sparty team. It would be priceless if they could. :)
